Kraken Parent Payward Links With Singapore Gulf Bank for Round-the-Clock Settlement
Payward integrates SGB Net to offer institutional clients in Asia and the Gulf real-time digital asset settlement at any hour.
Payward, the parent company of crypto exchange Kraken, has partnered with Singapore Gulf Bank to deliver around-the-clock settlement capabilities to institutional digital asset clients across Asia and the Gulf region, the companies announced Oct. 4, 2026.
The integration centers on SGB Net, Singapore Gulf Bank's real-time clearing network, which enables transactions to be settled instantly regardless of the time of day or week. The move addresses a long-standing friction point in institutional crypto markets, where settlement delays tied to traditional banking hours have complicated large-scale trading operations.

As part of the agreement, Singapore Gulf Bank will also onboard Kraken Prime — Payward's institutional prime brokerage arm — as an additional source of digital asset liquidity. That step is expected to deepen the pool of assets available to institutional counterparties operating through SGB Net.
The partnership reflects a broader push by both traditional financial infrastructure providers and crypto-native firms to close the operational gap between digital asset markets, which run continuously, and legacy settlement rails that remain constrained by business-day schedules. Connecting real-time clearing networks directly to established crypto venues represents one of the more concrete steps the industry has taken toward genuinely seamless institutional settlement.
