VoltaGrid Closes $775M Primary and $800M Secondary Equity Rounds
VoltaGrid finalizes two major equity deals totaling over $1.5 billion, with Blackstone and Halliburton leading the primary raise.
Houston-based VoltaGrid has completed a pair of significant equity transactions announced earlier this year, closing a $775 million primary investment and an expanded $800 million secondary investment, the company said Oct. 5, 2026.
The primary round drew capital from funds managed by Blackstone Tactical Opportunities alongside Halliburton Company, pairing a major alternative asset manager with one of the oil-field services industry's largest players. The combination suggests growing institutional appetite for energy infrastructure plays that bridge conventional and emerging power sectors.

The secondary investment, originally set at $225 million when the deals were first unveiled on May 11, 2026, was upsized more than threefold to $800 million at closing. Taken together, the two transactions deliver more than $1.5 billion in fresh equity capital to the company, a substantial war chest that could underpin infrastructure expansion, technology investment, or debt reduction — though the company did not specify intended use of proceeds in its announcement.
